Job Description:

We are currently looking for experienced degree qualified Principal Electrical Engineer with a proven track record of developing and delivering FEED projects in the petrochem sector.
 
The role will involve the successful delivery of the FEED for a large project (circa + $100 million) to be installed at a North East UK Site. The project will include:
 
  • Completion of a FEED following on from a licensor package utilising a team at the Manchester Office, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget will be critical
Candidates must have right to work in UK already in place.
 
  • Location: Manchester, UK + visiting Client project site, UK
  • Estimated Duration: 6 months 
The candidate should have
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Confidence to interface with the client
  • Good working knowledge of ETAP
  • Good working knowledge of ATEX and hazardous area applications
  • Appreciation of implementing and managing global workshare practises
  • Significant experience in Petrochemical FEED, EPC Design Projects. 
Responsibilities
  • Prepare design documents, calculations, single line diagrams, ETAP models, load flow and short circuit reports
  • Prepare technical specifications & relevant drawings.
  • Prepare and releases material requisitions.
  • Review of vendor documents / drawings / test procedure & certificates / operating manuals / design books / engineering data books etc. in accordance with the project design specification
  • Undertake Electrical engineering design work in with true regard to Safety both in design detail and engineering design execution
  • Carry out design work in compliance with the national, state and client asset Codes & Standards.
  • Be innovative in design work with due regard to minimisation of cost whilst maintaining technical integrity
  • Keep all project documentation in a state of readiness for Audit purposes
  • Clearly understand the Codes and Standards applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary
  • Promote good communications and co-ordination within the Electrical Team and with other disciplines

What you will bring 
 
Technical and Industry Experience:
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Chartered Engineer
  • Significant experience in brownfield chemical FEED and detail design projects.
  • Proven track record engineering design. 
  • Excellent technical communication and coordination skills.
  • Lead experience or capability of leading an engineer team
  • IT Literate with MS Office suite, interface management programmes etc.
