Working at our Sudbury Operations, the successful candidate must adhere to our core values on safety performance in the workplace. The applicant’s primary responsibility is to prioritize and coordinate planned work, identify material and equipment requirements, estimate costs of materials, manpower and define tasks to create a comprehensive maintenance schedule. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate the schedule, keep record of all maintenance work performed and look for opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the workflow process and/or maintenance activities.
Applicants must have a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certificate of Qualification and have a 2 year College Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Diploma or equivalent education/experience. This position also requires a minimum of 5 years recent, relevant maintenance planning experience. The applicant requires extensive knowledge of maintenance systems, equipment and tools. The applicant must also be able to work independently, possess decision making ability to schedule work, manage contractors and have strong communication and computer skills. Knowledge of SAP computer software is considered an asset.
